Job Title: Laboratory In-Charge
Location: Revive plus Multispecialty Hospital, Moti Nagar.
Experience: Minimum 4 Years
Qualification: B.Sc./M.Sc. in Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT), Medical Laboratory Science, Microbiology, Biochemistry, or a related discipline. Relevant certification/registration as per applicable regulations is preferred.
Job Summary
The Laboratory In-Charge is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the hospital laboratory, ensuring accurate and timely diagnostic services, maintaining quality and safety standards, supervising laboratory personnel, and ensuring compliance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily laboratory operations across all sections.
- Ensure accurate, timely, and high-quality diagnostic testing and reporting.
- Oversee sample collection, processing, analysis, and reporting in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Monitor internal and external quality control programs and ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Ensure proper maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of laboratory equipment.
- Manage inventory of reagents, consumables, and laboratory supplies to ensure uninterrupted operations.
- Supervise, train, and evaluate laboratory technicians and support staff.
- Maintain laboratory records, documentation, and regulatory compliance.
- Ensure adherence to infection control, biosafety, and waste disposal protocols.
- Coordinate with clinicians and other hospital departments to support patient care.
- Participate in NABH/NABL accreditation activities, audits, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Investigate laboratory incidents and implement corrective and preventive actions.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of clinical laboratory procedures and diagnostic testing.
- Experience with hematology, biochemistry, microbiology, immunology, and clinical pathology workflows.
- Leadership and team management abilities.
- Knowledge of NABH/NABL standards and laboratory quality management systems.
- Familiarity with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) and MS Office.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
Experience Required
- Minimum 4 years of experience in a hospital or diagnostic laboratory.
- At least 1–2 years of experience in a supervisory or Laboratory In-Charge role is preferred.
- Experience in managing laboratory operations, quality assurance, equipment maintenance, inventory control, and staff supervision.
