Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Nursing In-Charge to oversee and coordinate all nursing activities within the Mother & Child Care Hospital. The Nursing In-Charge will be responsible for ensuring high-quality patient care, supervising nursing staff, maintaining clinical standards, managing nursing operations, and ensuring compliance with hospital policies, infection control protocols, and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Nursing Operations Management
- Supervise and coordinate day-to-day nursing operations across Labor Room, Operation Theatre, Maternity Ward, NICU, PICU, Pediatric Ward, and General Wards.
- Ensure adequate nursing coverage and manpower planning for all shifts.
- Monitor nursing care standards and ensure quality patient care delivery.
- Conduct regular ward rounds and evaluate nursing practices.
Patient Care & Clinical Supervision
- Ensure implementation of nursing care plans and treatment protocols.
- Monitor patient care activities and ensure timely execution of doctors' orders.
- Assist in managing critical patients and emergency situations when required.
- Ensure proper assessment, monitoring, and documentation of patient conditions.
- Promote patient safety and quality improvement initiatives.
Staff Supervision & Team Management
- Supervise, guide, and support staff nurses, nursing assistants, and ward attendants.
- Prepare and manage nursing duty rosters and shift allocations.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
- Identify training needs and organize continuous nursing education programs.
- Maintain discipline, professionalism, and teamwork among nursing staff.
Maternal & Child Healthcare Management
- Ensure quality nursing care for antenatal, postnatal, gynecological, neonatal, and pediatric patients.
- Monitor compliance with maternal and newborn care protocols.
- Oversee breastfeeding support, immunization practices, and patient education initiatives.
- Ensure proper care and monitoring of NICU and PICU patients in coordination with consultants.
Infection Control & Patient Safety
- Implement and monitor infection prevention and control measures.
- Ensure adherence to hand hygiene, biomedical waste management, and patient safety protocols.
- Investigate and report incidents, medication errors, and adverse events.
- Promote a safe and clean healthcare environment.
Documentation & Compliance
- Ensure accurate nursing documentation and maintenance of patient records.
- Monitor compliance with NABH standards, nursing protocols, and statutory requirements.
- Maintain nursing registers, reports, incident records, and departmental documentation.
- Participate in hospital quality audits and accreditation activities.
Inventory & Resource Management
- Monitor availability and utilization of medicines, consumables, and nursing supplies.
- Ensure proper maintenance of medical equipment and nursing instruments.
- Coordinate with stores, pharmacy, and biomedical departments for uninterrupted operations.
- Prevent wastage and ensure cost-effective utilization of resources.
Coordination & Communication
- Coordinate effectively with doctors, administration, laboratory, pharmacy, and other departments.
- Attend departmental meetings and management reviews.
- Address patient and attendant concerns related to nursing services.
- Ensure effective communication during shift handovers.
Training & Development
- Conduct induction training for newly joined nursing staff.
- Organize clinical skill development programs and nursing workshops.
- Promote continuous learning and adherence to best nursing practices.
Required Qualifications:
- B.Sc. Nursing / Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing / M.Sc. Nursing from a recognized institution.
- Valid Nursing Council Registration.
- Additional certification in Hospital Administration or Healthcare Management will be an added advantage.
Experience:
- Minimum 5–8 years of nursing experience in a hospital setting.
- At least 2–3 years of supervisory or nursing leadership experience preferred.
- Experience in maternity, neonatal, pediatric, or mother and child healthcare settings is highly desirable.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
