Job Summary
We are looking for a motivated and ambitious Business Development Executive to help expand our customer base and drive business growth. The role involves identifying new business opportunities, generating leads, understanding customer applications, coordinating product trials, and converting prospects into long-term customers.
This position is ideal for candidates interested in building a career in B2B sales, industrial marketing, and business development within the manufacturing sector.
Key Responsibilities
Lead Generation & Market Research
- Identify and research potential customers across target industries.
- Generate leads through LinkedIn, IndiaMART, TradeIndia, Google searches, industry directories, exhibitions, and networking.
- Build and maintain a database of prospects and customer contacts.
- Monitor industry trends, customer requirements, and competitor activities.
Business Development & Customer Meetings
- Reach out to prospective customers through calls, emails, and meetings.
- Schedule and conduct customer visits to understand applications and requirements.
- Present company capabilities, products, and solutions to potential clients.
- Identify opportunities where Cosmos products can add value to customer operations.
Product Trials & Proposal Management
- Understand customer requirements and recommend suitable products.
- Coordinate sample submissions, product trials, testing, and approval processes.
- Work with internal teams to obtain product feasibility and costing information.
- Prepare and submit quotations, proposals, and presentations.
Sales Conversion & Account Management
- Follow up consistently on quotations, trials, and business opportunities.
- Assist in negotiating commercial terms and closing orders.
- Build strong relationships with customers to encourage repeat business.
- Serve as a key point of contact for customer queries and support.
Internal Coordination
- Coordinate with production, quality, procurement, and management teams to ensure smooth execution of customer requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, opportunities, and sales activities.
- Provide regular updates and reports on business development activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field.
- 0–3 years of experience in Business Development, Sales, Marketing, or Industrial Sales.
- Freshers with excellent communication skills and a strong willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Good interpersonal and relationship-building abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and follow up effectively.
- Willingness to travel for customer meetings and site visits.
- Valid driving license preferred.
