About the Role
PS Collaborations is looking for a dedicated and skilled CT OT (Cardio-Thoracic Operation Theatre) Nurse with at least 1 year of experience. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience assisting in cardiac and thoracic surgeries, maintaining a sterile operation theatre environment, and ensuring patient safety before, during, and after surgical procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare the Cardio-Thoracic Operation Theatre before surgical procedures.
- Ensure all surgical instruments, implants, and consumables are sterilized and ready for use.
- Assist surgeons, anesthesiologists, and the OT team during cardiac and thoracic surgeries.
- Maintain strict aseptic and sterile techniques throughout surgical procedures.
- Prepare and position patients for surgery according to clinical protocols.
- Arrange and handle surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies during procedures.
- Perform instrument, needle, and sponge counts before, during, and after surgeries.
- Monitor patients during the perioperative period and promptly report any abnormalities.
- Ensure proper cleaning, sterilization, and maintenance of OT instruments and equipment.
- Maintain accurate OT records, surgical documentation, and inventory.
- Adhere to hospital policies, infection control protocols, and patient safety standards.
- Coordinate effectively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, perfusionists, and the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of cardiac and thoracic surgical procedures.
- Familiarity with CT OT instruments, surgical equipment, and OT protocols.
- Strong understanding of sterile techniques and infection prevention practices.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in emergency situations and under pressure.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Willingness to work rotational shifts, weekends, and emergency duties.
Eligibility
- B.Sc. Nursing or GNM Nursing from a recognized institution.
- Valid State Nursing Council Registration.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a Cardio-Thoracic Operation Theatre (CT OT) is mandatory.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is preferred.
- Immediate joiners will be preferred.
