Job Summary
We are looking for a dedicated and technically skilled Service Engineer to handle the installation, commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting, and servicing of automobile garage equipment at customer sites. The ideal candidate should have practical experience in machine erection, compressor installation, and garage equipment maintenance, along with a strong customer-service mindset.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, commission, and test automobile garage equipment at customer locations.
- Carry out machine erection and ensure proper alignment and commissioning.
- Install and service air compressors, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, and related garage equipment.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic faults.
- Perform preventive maintenance and breakdown service to minimize equipment downtime.
- Provide customer training on the safe operation and routine maintenance of installed equipment.
- Attend customer service calls promptly and ensure timely resolution.
- Prepare service reports, installation reports, and maintenance records.
- Coordinate with the production and technical teams to resolve complex technical issues.
- Ensure compliance with company quality standards and safety procedures during installation and servicing.
- Support warranty services and recommend spare parts as required.
- Travel extensively to customer locations for installation and service assignments.
Required Skills
- Good knowledge of machine erection and equipment installation.
- Hands-on experience with air compressors, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, and automobile garage equipment.
- Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings.
- Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding skills.
- Basic knowledge of electrical wiring, motors, control panels, and mechanical assemblies.
- Good communication and customer-handling skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage field service assignments.
- Willingness to travel frequently.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automobile Engineering, or a related technical field.
- ITI candidates with relevant field experience may also be considered.
Experience
- 2–5 years of experience in installation and servicing of automobile garage equipment, compressors, hydraulic lifts, vehicle washing systems, or similar industrial machinery.
- Freshers with strong technical knowledge and willingness to travel may also be considered.
