The Academic Counselor is responsible for guiding prospective students in choosing the right course based on their interests, aptitude, and career goals. The role involves counseling students and parents, achieving admission targets, maintaining student relationships, and coordinating with the academic and marketing teams to ensure a smooth admission process.
Key Responsibilities
- Counsel students and parents regarding courses, career opportunities, and industry trends.
- Explain course details, curriculum, fees, scholarships, and placement assistance.
- Handle walk-in inquiries, phone calls, WhatsApp, website, and social media leads.
- Follow up with prospective students until admission is completed.
- Maintain accurate student records in the CRM/ERP system.
- Conduct campus tours and present institute facilities to visitors.
- Coordinate with the marketing team for seminars, school visits, education fairs, and promotional events.
- Meet monthly admission and revenue targets.
- Build and maintain relationships with schools, colleges, and referral partners.
- Assist students with the admission process, documentation, and fee collection.
- Provide excellent customer service before and after admission.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly counseling and admission reports.
- Support student retention by maintaining regular communication with enrolled students.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in any discipline (Master's degree is an advantage).
- 1–3 years of experience in academic counseling, education sales, admissions, or customer relationship management.
- Freshers with excellent communication skills may also apply.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹35,503.46 per month
