Batra Heart & Multispeciality Hospital is seeking an experienced and dedicated Nursing Superintendent / Infection Control Nurse (ICN) to oversee nursing operations, ensure quality patient care, maintain nursing standards, and implement effective infection prevention and control practices across the hospital. The ideal candidate should possess strong leadership, clinical expertise, and knowledge of NABH guidelines and infection control protocols.
Key ResponsibilitiesNursing Administration
- Supervise and manage nursing staff across all departments.
- Ensure optimum nursing care and patient safety standards.
- Prepare and monitor nursing duty rosters and manpower allocation.
- Conduct regular nursing audits and performance evaluations.
- Coordinate with consultants, department heads, and hospital management.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, protocols, and statutory requirements.
- Organize nursing training, orientation, and continuing education programs.
- Handle patient complaints and resolve nursing-related issues effectively.
Infection Control Responsibilities (ICN)
- Develop, implement, and monitor infection prevention and control policies.
- Conduct surveillance of Hospital Acquired Infections (HAIs).
- Monitor hand hygiene compliance and infection control practices.
- Conduct infection control rounds and audits across departments.
- Investigate infection outbreaks and recommend corrective actions.
- Coordinate with microbiology, nursing, and clinical departments.
- Prepare infection control reports and present findings to the Infection Control Committee.
- Ensure compliance with NABH, biomedical waste management, and infection control standards.
- Conduct staff training on infection prevention, PPE usage, and safe clinical practices.
Eligibility Criteria
- B.Sc. Nursing / Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing / M.Sc. Nursing.
- Certification or training in Infection Control will be preferred.
- Minimum 5-10 years of hospital experience, with experience in nursing administration and infection control.
- Knowledge of NABH standards and quality management systems.
- Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and hospital information systems.
