A Delivery Driver (LMV) is responsible for delivering goods, packages, or documents to customers in a safe, timely, and efficient manner using a light motor vehicle. The role requires excellent driving skills, attention to detail, customer service abilities, and organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities:
§ Transport goods, packages, or documents to various locations.
§ Ensure that items are properly loaded, secured, and organized for delivery.
§ Plan and follow the most efficient delivery routes using GPS or route planning software.
§ Adjust routes based on real-time traffic or weather conditions.
§ Interact with customers in a professional and friendly manner.
§ Address any customer inquiries or issues regarding deliveries.
§ Perform daily inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
§ Report any maintenance or repair issues to the supervisor.
§ Ensure timely deliveries according to scheduled times.
Prioritize urgent or time-sensitive deliveries to meet customer needs
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Valid Driver’s License: A valid driving license for Light Motor Vehicles (LMV), typically a commercial or personal driver’s license.
§ Experience: Prior experience in delivery driving is an advantage but not mandatory.
§ Knowledge of Traffic Laws: A solid understanding of local traffic rules and regulations.
