Retail Marketing Generalist
Location: Mumbai (base), with regular travel to Suta stores across cities | Reports to: [Retail Marketing Head] | Employment Type: Full-time
About the Role
We're looking for a creative, hands-on Retail Marketing Generalist to drive footfall, community engagement, and brand visibility across Suta stores. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys building relationships on the ground, and can execute impactful marketing campaigns even with limited budgets.
If you love creating memorable in-store experiences, working closely with store teams, and finding innovative ways to market through collaborations and barter partnerships, we'd love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
· Plan and execute monthly marketing calendars for Suta stores, aligned with the broader retail marketing strategy.
· Conceptualize and manage store activations, workshops, community events, and customer engagement initiatives.
· Plan and execute new store launch campaigns end-to-end, from pre-launch buzz-building to post-launch engagement.
· Build and manage partnerships with local brands, artists, communities, influencers, and businesses for barter and collaboration opportunities.
· Own end-to-end brand collaboration partnerships for stores — from outreach and negotiation to in-store execution and post-collab reporting.
· Design and execute in-store brand collaborations such as co-branded pop-ups, joint window displays, cross-promotional offers, and shared customer events with complementary local or national brands.
· Identify and pitch brand partners aligned with Suta's premium craft positioning, ensuring collaborations enhance (not dilute) brand equity.
· Manage collaboration logistics at store level, involving space planning, merchandising coordination, staff briefing, and partner sign-off.
· Identify low-cost, high-impact marketing ideas to increase store footfall and drive walk-in conversion.
· Coordinate with internal teams viz., Creative, Social Media, CRM, PR, and Retail Operations for seamless campaign execution.
· Manage on-ground vendor and freelancer relationships (decorators, event staff, local printers, etc.) within allocated budgets.
· Track and report on event/activation performance w.r.t. footfall, engagement, and cost-efficiency.
