The OFC Operations Manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing Optical Fibre Cable (OFC) projects, ensuring timely delivery, quality compliance, customer satisfaction, and adherence to safety standards. The role involves managing field teams, subcontractors, material logistics, and coordinating with clients and internal stakeholders for successful project execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and execute OFC laying, blowing, splicing, testing, and commissioning activities.
- Manage day-to-day field operations and ensure work completion as per project timelines.
- Coordinate with clients, local authorities, and internal departments for permissions and smooth execution.
- Monitor project progress, productivity, and resource utilisation across multiple sites.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards, safety regulations, and company procedures.
- Manage subcontractors and field teams to achieve operational targets.
- Track material requirements, inventory, and equipment availability for uninterrupted execution.
- Review daily progress reports, MIS, and project status updates.
- Resolve operational issues and escalations to minimise delays.
- Ensure accurate documentation, as-built records, and project handover completion.
- Monitor project costs and optimise resources to maintain profitability.
- Conduct regular site inspections and quality audits.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of OFC deployment, splicing, testing, and network infrastructure.
- Experience in FTTH, backbone fibre, and telecom project execution.
- Team management and subcontractor handling skills.
- Excellent planning, coordination, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, project tracking, and MIS reporting.
- Understanding of safety standards and quality compliance requirements.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Qualification & Experience
- Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Telecommunications, Electronics, Electrical, or a related field.
- 5–10 years of experience in telecom/OFC project execution, with at least 2–3 years in a managerial role.
- Experience in handling multiple OFC projects and large field teams is preferred.
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹62,000.00 per month
