Roles and Responsibilities:

Support daily shop-floor operations by ensuring smooth and timely procurement activities using ARIBA.

Raise, process, and track Purchase Requisitions (PRs) and Purchase Orders (POs) in line with organizational policies.

Verify accuracy and completeness of procurement documentation including specifications, approvals, cost centers, and vendor details.

Monitor procurement cycle times and proactively follow up with approvers, procurement teams, and suppliers to prevent material delays.

Coordinate with vendors and internal teams to resolve procurement, transactional, or system-related issues.

Prepare and manage Goods Receipt (GR/IR / GRR) and ensure timely posting and reconciliation in the system.

Verify received materials against purchase orders, delivery challans, and invoices.

Identify and resolve discrepancies related to quantity, quality, or documentation in coordination with stores, finance, and suppliers.

Track open GRR items and ensure timely closure to avoid financial or inventory mismatches.

Act as a single point of coordination between procurement, stores, finance, suppliers, and shop-floor teams.

Provide regular updates to the Shop Manager on procurement status, material availability, delays, and risks.

Assist the Shop Manager in day-to-day shop operations, documentation, and process monitoring.

Maintain accurate records, trackers, reports, and dashboards related to procurement and material flow.

Support implementation of process improvements, efficiency initiatives, and compliance requirements.

Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and organizational procedures in shop operations.
Skills and Experience Required:

Educational Qualification: Diploma or bachelor’s degree in commerce, Business Administration, Supply Chain, Operations, or Engineering (Mechanical / Industrial / Production) with min. 3 Years of working exp.

Hands-on experience in procurement operations, preferably using SAP ARIBA.

Strong knowledge of PR/PO lifecycle, goods receipt, GRR, and basic material management processes.

Experience coordinating with procurement, finance, stores, suppliers, and shop-floor teams.

Strong follow-up discipline with high attention to detail and documentation accuracy.

Good proficiency in MS Excel for tracking, reporting, and reconciliation.

Good verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to manage multiple operational tasks simultaneously and meet timelines.
