We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer with strong fundamental knowledge of mechanical engineering and hands‑on experience in 3D modeling, simulation, and design support activities. The role involves mechanical design development, simulation, design verification, and coordination with senior engineering personnel to ensure high‑quality and compliant mechanical designs.
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
Required Technical Skills
- Strong basic knowledge of Mechanical Engineering fundamentals
- Experience or working exposure to 3D modeling, simulation, and mechanical design
- Working knowledge of one or more of the following tools:
- Solid Edge
- SpaceClaim
- ANSYS Workbench (Structural / Thermal)
- ANSYS Fluent (CFD)
- Rocky DEM (preferred / good to have)
- Meshing
- Stress analysis
- Deflection analysis
- Modal analysis
- Simulation analysis
(Experience in all tools is not mandatory; relevant exposure is sufficient.)
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out detailed mechanical design work including 3D modeling, simulation (thermal and stress analysis), and basic design verification
- Work with the Engineering Manager and Senior Mechanical Design Engineers to agree on and follow the mechanical design approach
- Ensure design compliance with specifications and engineering requirements
- Select mechanical components considering availability, obsolescence, cost, and application suitability
- Prepare and present mechanical designs during design review meetings
- Generate and maintain minutes of design reviews and track action items
- Ensure all design files and related information are updated, controlled, and stored as per defined procedures
- Follow departmental processes related to design management and change control
- Carry out design change requests accurately and within defined timelines
- Identify mechanical part numbers considering material, finish, and specification requirements
- Keep up to date with manufacturing techniques, drawing standards, and engineering best practices
- Ensure mechanical design outputs align with other engineering disciplines and overall system requirements

Desired Candidate Profile
- 1–3 years of experience in mechanical design, analysis, or production‑support roles
- Exposure to manufacturing environments or product/industrial engineering projects
- Good documentation and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a structured engineering process
- Willingness to learn and work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams
