Job Summary
The Ride Operator is responsible for the safe, efficient, and guest-focused operation of high-intensity amusement rides and water attractions. The position ensures compliance with all safety procedures, monitors ride performance, assists guests, and responds effectively to operational or emergency situations while delivering an exceptional guest experience.
Key Responsibilities of Rides Operator
- Operate assigned water rides, thrill rides, and related attractions in accordance with standard operating procedures.
- Ensure all ride safety systems, restraints, gates, and control panels are functioning correctly before and during operation.
- Conduct pre-opening, operational, and closing inspections of assigned rides.
- Monitor ride cycles and guest behavior throughout operation.
- Stop ride operations immediately if unsafe conditions are observed.
Guest Safety
- Verify that guests meet ride eligibility requirements, including height, age, weight, and health restrictions.
- Ensure proper use of seat belts, harnesses, lap bars, flotation devices, and other safety equipment.
- Provide clear safety instructions before ride commencement.
- Assist guests with boarding, seating, restraint checks, and safe exit procedures.
- Enforce park safety rules and ride restrictions at all times.
Emergency Response
- Respond promptly to ride stoppages, evacuations, guest incidents, and emergencies.
- Follow established emergency action plans and evacuation procedures.
- Report accidents, injuries, equipment malfunctions, and safety concerns immediately.
- Participate in emergency drills and safety training programs.
Customer Service
- Provide courteous, friendly, and professional service to all guests.
- Answer guest questions regarding ride procedures and safety requirements.
- Assist in managing queues and maintaining orderly guest flow.
- Support the park's commitment to delivering a safe and enjoyable experience.
Administrative Duties
- Complete ride inspection checklists, operational logs, and incident reports accurately.
- Report maintenance requirements and operational concerns to supervisors.
- Maintain cleanliness and presentation of ride stations, queue lines, and surrounding areas.
Qualifications
- SSLC, PUC, diploma, any degree or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in amusement parks, attractions, hospitality, recreation, or customer service is desirable.
- Basic understanding of ride safety procedures and emergency response protocols.

- Good vision, hearing, and situational awareness.
Working Schedule
- Rotational shifts including weekends, public holidays, school vacations, and peak operating seasons.
- Overtime may be required during special events and high-attendance periods.
