Job Description
Chenab Impex Pvt. Ltd. is seeking an experienced Purchase Manager to lead and manage procurement activities for its food business operations. The ideal candidate must have extensive experience in the food industry, with strong expertise in sourcing food products, packaging materials, vendor negotiations, and ensuring uninterrupted supply while maintaining quality and cost efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end procurement activities for food products, ingredients, packaging materials, and other operational requirements.
- Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable vendors within the food industry.
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and contracts to achieve optimum cost savings.
- Ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials to support business operations.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with relevant departments to forecast purchasing requirements.
- Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and resolve issues related to quality, shortages, and delivery delays.
- Conduct regular market analysis to track price fluctuations and sourcing opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, food safety standards, and procurement procedures.
- Prepare purchase reports and maintain accurate procurement records.
- Work closely with operations, finance, and warehouse teams to ensure seamless supply chain management.
Requirements:
- Minimum 10 years of experience in Purchase/Procurement.
- Mandatory experience in the Food Industry.
- Proven experience in sourcing food products, ingredients, or food-related materials.
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and organisational abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
