Key Responsibilities
- Process Development: Analyze 2D drawings and 3D models to design the most efficient routing, methods, and operation sequences from raw material to finished product.
- Tooling & Fixture Design: Determine, design, and procure specialized jigs, fixtures, and cutting tools required for machining, welding, or assembly operations.
- Cost & Time Estimation: Calculate manufacturing costs, evaluate capital expenditures, and conduct cycle time reduction and optimization to improve productivity.
- Quality & Compliance: Develop Process Flow Diagrams, Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA), and ensure compliance with strict industry standards (e.g., IATF 16949, VDA 6.3, APQP).
- Layout & Facility Planning: Evaluate and design shop floor layouts and assembly lines using Lean, Agile, and Just-In-Time (JIT) manufacturing principles.
- Vendor Coordination: Support machining development by identifying, auditing, and coordinating with external suppliers for outsourced components and tooling.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive projects to eliminate waste, improve product quality, and establish standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Essential Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Production, or Manufacturing Engineering.
- Software Proficiency: Hands-on experience with CAD/CAM software (e.g., Siemens NX, Mastercam, SolidWorks) and process simulation tools.
- Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of machining processes (CNC, VMC, HMC), fabrication, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing), and engineering materials.
- Problem-Solving Methodologies: Strong capability in root cause analysis, Six Sigma, and Lean manufacturing.
Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
