The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for supervising and coordinating the daily activities of the housekeeping team to ensure high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, presentation, and guest satisfaction. The role includes staff supervision, room and facility inspections, inventory control, training, and ensuring compliance with company policies and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily housekeeping operations.
- Assign duties and work schedules to housekeeping staff.
- Inspect guest rooms, public areas, corridors, and other facilities to ensure cleanliness and proper presentation.
- Ensure rooms are cleaned and maintained according to company standards.
- Monitor housekeeping staff performance and provide guidance and feedback.
- Train new and existing employees on cleaning procedures, equipment, chemicals, hygiene, and safety practices.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of cleaning chemicals and housekeeping equipment.
- Maintain adequate stocks of linen, toiletries, cleaning supplies, and guest amenities.
- Monitor inventory and report shortages or damaged items to management.
- Coordinate with Front Office, Maintenance, Security, and other departments regarding guest and operational requirements.
- Handle guest complaints related to housekeeping and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
- Report maintenance defects, damages, lost property, and other issues to the appropriate department.
- Ensure lost-and-found procedures are followed correctly.
- Prepare daily housekeeping reports, room status updates, and staff attendance records.
- Ensure staff follow grooming, uniform, hygiene, and workplace safety standards.
- Monitor productivity and ensure efficient use of manpower and resources.
- Conduct regular inspections and take corrective action when required.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, health and safety regulations, and hygiene standards.
- Assist the Executive Housekeeper/Housekeeping Manager with departmental planning and administrative duties.
- Perform other duties assigned by management.
Pay: ₹10,957.49 - ₹25,248.46 per month
