The Radiotherapy Technologist is responsible for safely administering radiation therapy treatments to cancer patients as prescribed by the Radiation Oncologist. The role includes operating radiotherapy equipment, accurately positioning patients, ensuring radiation safety, maintaining treatment records, and delivering high-quality patient care in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
- Deliver radiation therapy as per the prescribed treatment plan.
- Operate Linear Accelerator (LINAC), CT Simulator, and related equipment.
- Position patients accurately using immobilization devices.
- Verify patient identity and treatment parameters before each session.
- Maintain treatment documentation and machine logs.
- Follow radiation safety, infection control, and quality protocols.
- Coordinate with Radiation Oncologists and Medical Physicists.
- Report equipment issues and assist with quality assurance activities.
- B.Sc./Diploma in Radiotherapy Technology or Radiation Technology from a recognized institution.
