Job Description of Business Development Executive - Logistics / Freight Forwarding
Location- Borivali, Mumbai
Role and Responsibilities:
- Client Acquisition: Identify and engage potential clients, build a sales pipeline, and implement strategies to win new business.
- Client Relationship Management: Maintain strong client relationships and provide tailored logistics solutions.
- Sales Presentations: Prepare and deliver persuasive, client-focused sales presentations.
- Quoting and Pricing: Create competitive quotes, negotiate terms, and assist clients with documentation.
- Sales Reporting: Maintain sales records and provide regular updates to leadership.
- Market Intelligence: Monitor industry trends and competitors to refine sales strategies.
- Targets and Goals: Achieve defined sales targets and continuously strive to exceed quotas.
Qualifications and Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree in business, Logistics, or a related field (preferred).
· Thorough Knowledge of Ocean import, Air Import & custom clearance is an added advantage.
· Proven track record in sales, preferably in the logistics or freight forwarding industry.
· Strong understanding of international shipping and logistics processes.
· Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales tools.
· Willingness to travel for client meetings and industry events (as required).
Eligibility Criteria
1. Experience: 2 to 4 years in sales, preferably in logistics or freight forwarding.
2. Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of air and sea freight operations.
3. Education: Minimum graduate (bachelor’s degree) in Business, Logistics, or related field.
4. Language Proficiency: Fluent in English (both written and spoken).
5. Skills: Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer service skills.
The salary will be commensurate with the candidate's experience and qualifications and will not be a constraint for the right individual.
