Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced and highly creative Senior Product Packaging Designer to lead the visual and structural design of our product packaging. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in designing mono boxes (mono cartons), rigid boxes, and primary product labels. You will take ownership of the entire packaging lifecycle—from conceptual sketches and 3D mockups to creating flawless, print-ready files.
Key Responsibilities
End-to-End Packaging Design: Conceptualize, design, and execute high-quality packaging solutions, with a strong emphasis on mono box/carton design, labels, and secondary packaging.
Structural & Die-Line Creation: Develop accurate structural packaging concepts, custom die-lines, and prototypes that ensure product safety while minimizing material waste.
Visual Branding: Apply brand guidelines to packaging, ensuring cohesive typography, color palettes, and visual hierarchy that pops on the physical and digital shelf.
3D Rendering & Mockups: Create realistic 3D mockups of proposed packaging designs for internal review, stakeholder approval, and e-commerce listings.
Pre-Press & Print Production: Prepare flawless print-ready files. Work with CMYK, Pantone colors, spot UV, foiling, embossing, and other print finishes to achieve premium results.
Market Research: Stay up-to-date with the latest packaging trends, sustainable materials, and unboxing experiences to keep our brand at the forefront of the industry.
Qualifications & Skills
Experience: Minimum 5 years of dedicated professional experience in product packaging design and print production.
Educational Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Packaging Design, Industrial Design, Graphic Design, or Packaging Engineering, backed by advanced 2D/3D software mastery and specialized industry certifications (such as CPP).
Portfolio Requirement: A strong portfolio demonstrating real-world packaging projects, specifically highlighting mono box/carton designs, structural understanding, and final printed products.
Software Mastery: Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign). Experience with 3D packaging software (e.g., Adobe Dimension, Cinema4D, Blender, or Esko Studio) is a massive plus.
Technical Print Knowledge: Deep understanding of print techniques, color theory (CMYK/Pantone), material selection (paperboards, corrugated, plastics), and finishing processes.
Attention to Detail: Meticulous approach to proofing text, aligning die-lines, and ensuring legal/compliance symbols (barcodes, recycling marks, ingredients) are correctly placed.
