Position: Junior Production Engineer
Job Summary:
We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic Junior Production Engineer to join our manufacturing team. The selected candidate will support production planning, process enhancement, and quality assurance, ensuring smooth and efficient operations across the shop floor.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparing production plans and schedules to meet project timelines.
- Monitor daily production activities to ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.
- Coordinate with design and engineering teams to implement process improvements.
- Optimize material usage and reduce waste during fabrication and assembly processes.
- Perform quality inspections of raw materials and finished goods.
- Support routine maintenance of machinery and resolve basic production issues.
- Maintain accurate production data and generate performance reports.
- Ensure compliance with ISO standards and industry best practices for racking and shelving systems.
- Coordinate with procurement and inventory teams to ensure timely material availability.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce production costs.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Production Engineering.
- 0–2 years of experience in a manufacturing setup (preferably in racking, storage systems, or metal fabrication).
- Familiarity with design software.
- Basic understanding of sheet metal fabrication, welding, and powder coating.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced production environment.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
