About S L Graham and Company: S L Graham and Company is an engineering company with a team of approximately 30 employees and workers, engaged in the design, manufacture and execution of industrial furnace solutions.
We are looking for a Design & Site Engineer – Industrial Furnaces to join our team. The role combines engineering drawing and design with hands-on site execution and project coordination across India.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and develop mechanical and electrical engineering drawings for industrial furnace projects.
- Translate project requirements into practical engineering designs and drawings.
- Support the design and detailing of furnace systems and associated components.
- Work closely with the engineering, fabrication and site teams to ensure drawings are accurate and practical for execution.
- Visit customer and project sites across India, approximately 10–12 days per month.
- Coordinate and support site installation, commissioning and project execution.
- Manage day-to-day site activities and coordinate with contractors, workers, vendors and customers as required.
- Identify and resolve technical and execution-related issues at site.
- Understand project requirements and ensure work is completed as per drawings, specifications and timelines.
- Make modifications to drawings and designs based on site requirements and project developments.
- Maintain project documentation and provide regular updates to the management team. Required Skills & Qualifications
- Diploma in Engineering – Mechanical / Electrical or a relevant engineering discipline.
- 3–5 years of relevant engineering experience.
- Strong ability to prepare and understand mechanical and electrical engineering drawings.
- Good aptitude for engineering design and problem-solving.
- Ability to understand technical requirements and convert them into practical solutions.
- Willingness and ability to learn new technologies, processes and engineering practices.
- Good communication and coordination skills. - Ability to work independently and take responsibility for site activities.
- Basic site management and project coordination skills.
- Willingness to travel extensively across India.
The Ideal Candidate We are looking for someone who is technically strong, practical and hands-on, with an interest in both engineering design and field execution. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working with drawings as well as visiting sites, interacting with different stakeholders and solving real-world engineering problems. A willingness to learn and take ownership will be highly valued.
