Job Title: QA Automation EngineerJob Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly skilled QA Automation Engineer to design, develop, and execute automated test scripts to ensure the quality and performance of our applications. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in automation frameworks, testing methodologies, and a passion for delivering high-quality software.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts for web, mobile, and/or API applications
- Design and implement scalable automation frameworks
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and QA team members to understand requirements and create effective test strategies
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing
- Identify, log, and track defects using bug tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Azure DevOps)
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
- Analyze test results and generate reports for stakeholders
- Continuously improve testing processes, tools, and frameworks
- Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on testability and quality
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Strong experience with automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or Appium
- Proficiency in programming languages like Java, Python, JavaScript, or C#
- Experience with test frameworks (TestNG, JUnit, Mocha, etc.)
- Knowledge of API testing tools (Postman, RestAssured, Karate, etc.)
- Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, etc.)
- Familiarity with version control systems like Git
- Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in performance or load testing (JMeter, LoadRunner, etc.)
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Experience with containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Understanding of security testing practices
- Exposure to BDD frameworks like Cucumber
