We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Operation Theatre (OT) Technician to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing the operating room, maintaining a strictly sterile environment, and assisting surgical and anesthesia teams during procedures. Your primary goal is to ensure patient safety and the smooth execution of all surgical operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Pre-Operative Prep: Sterilize and organize surgical instruments, drapes, and equipment before surgery.
- Equipment Verification: Check and calibrate anesthesia machines, monitors, and ventilators to ensure proper function.
- Patient Care: Assist in safely transferring, positioning, and prepping patients on the operating table.
- Intra-Operative Support: Pass sterile instruments to surgeons and assist anesthesiologists with monitoring vital signs.
- Infection Control: Maintain rigorous aseptic techniques and fumigate/disinfect the OR between surgeries.
- Inventory Management: Monitor and restock surgical supplies, drugs, and linen to avoid shortages.
- Post-Operative Routine: Safely transfer patients to the recovery room and properly dispose of medical waste.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree (B.Sc.) in Operation Theatre Technology or a related field.
- Certification: Valid state or national paramedic/allied health council registration (if applicable).
- Experience: 1–3 years of experience in a hospital operating room environment preferred (freshers may apply for junior roles).

- Deep knowledge of surgical instruments, sterilization protocols, and autoclave operations.
- Basic understanding of anatomy, surgical procedures, and anesthesia setup.
- Ability to work quickly and stay calm under high-pressure, emergency situations.
- High physical stamina for long hours of standing and lifting patients.
- Strong teamwork, communication, and observational skills.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹27,000.00 per month
