Position Summary
BM Hospitals is seeking a dedicated and patient-focused Junior Consultant Gynecologist to support the Senior Consultant Gynecologist in delivering comprehensive women's healthcare services.
The consultant will be responsible for outpatient consultations, inpatient care, preventive gynecology, reproductive health counseling, minor procedures, antenatal support, and assisting in clinical and surgical management under the guidance of the Senior Consultant.
This position offers an excellent opportunity for a gynecologist seeking to develop expertise in both traditional and advanced women's healthcare within a multidisciplinary hospital environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesClinical Services
- Conduct outpatient gynecology consultations.
- Evaluate and manage common gynecological conditions.
- Provide preventive and wellness-focused gynecological care.
- Manage menstrual disorders, PCOS, menopause, and reproductive health concerns.
- Perform routine gynecological examinations and screenings.
- Provide contraceptive counseling and family planning services.
- Assist in infertility evaluation and basic fertility workup.
Obstetric Services
- Assist in antenatal and postnatal care.
- Monitor low-risk pregnancies under consultant supervision.
- Participate in labor ward rounds and obstetric patient management.
- Counsel patients regarding pregnancy-related concerns.
- Coordinate investigations and follow-up care.
Surgical Assistance
- Assist the Senior Consultant during:
- Normal deliveries
- Cesarean sections
- Hysterectomies
- Laparoscopic procedures
- Gynecological surgeries
- Participate in peri-operative patient care.
- Maintain accurate surgical documentation.
Inpatient Management
- Conduct daily ward rounds.
- Review admitted patients.
- Coordinate investigations and treatment plans.
- Prepare discharge summaries.
- Ensure continuity of patient care.
Diagnostic & Preventive Care
- Pap smear screening.
- Breast examination and awareness counseling.
- Ultrasound coordination and interpretation support.
- Women's health screening programs.
- Menopause and hormonal health counseling.
Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain complete medical records.
- Ensure documentation meets hospital and medico-legal standards.
- Follow NABH and clinical quality protocols.
- Participate in audits and quality improvement activities.
Academic & Clinical Development
- Attend CME programs and departmental meetings.
- Participate in case discussions and clinical reviews.
- Contribute to patient education initiatives.
- Support research and academic activities when required.

QualificationsEssential
- MBBS
- MS (Obstetrics & Gynecology) / DGO
- Valid State Medical Council Registration
Preferred
- 1–5 years post-qualification experience
- Experience in handling OPD and inpatient gynecology cases
- Experience in assisting gynecological and obstetric procedures

Suggested Experience
1–5 Years Post PG
Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹90,000.00 per month
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Nanganallur, Chennai, Tamil Nadu: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
