Job Purpose
The Executive – Legal & Compliance is responsible for managing legal documentation, statutory compliance, licensing activities, approvals, and regulatory requirements for Make Your Own Perfume (MYOP). The role involves coordinating with internal teams, external authorities, consultants, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure timely completion of compliance obligations and smooth business operations.
Key Responsibilities
Legal Documentation & Agreements
Review, coordinate, and finalize draft agreements between MYOP and mall
management/landlords, ensuring protection of the company's interests.
Coordinate agreement execution, renewals, amendments, and related
documentation.
Maintain proper records of agreements, legal documents, approvals, licenses,
and statutory certificates in an organized and audit-ready manner.
Licensing & Statutory Compliance Management
Apply for, obtain, renew, and maintain all required licenses and statutory
registrations, including:
o Trade Licenses
o Shop & Establishment Licenses
o GST Registrations
o Legal Metrology Registrations
o Other business-related statutory approvals
Manage Legal Metrology compliance, including obtaining and renewing
required certificates and registrations for measuring equipment.
Monitor and ensure adherence to applicable statutory and regulatory
requirements.
Maintain compliance trackers with expiry dates, renewal status, and required
actions.
Ensure timely completion of compliance activities to avoid penalties, expiries,
or business disruptions.
Government & External Coordination
Coordinate with government authorities, consultants, vendors, ASMs, and
internal stakeholders for approvals, registrations, and licenses.
Visit and liaise with government offices when required, including:
o Village Offices
o Municipal Corporations
o Police Stations
o Other statutory departments
Handle certificates, approvals, inspections, verifications, registrations, and
compliance-related documentation.
Reporting & Documentation
Prepare and maintain compliance reports, trackers, and statutory records.
Ensure proper documentation management for audits and internal reviews.
Provide regular updates regarding pending approvals, renewals, and
compliance activities.
Required Skills:
Strong communication skills in English and Hindi (additional languages
preferred).
Good knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Knowledge of statutory licenses, legal documentation, and compliance
processes.
Strong coordination, documentation, negotiation, and follow-up skills.
Ability to coordinate with government departments, consultants, vendors, and
internal stakeholders.
Organized, proactive, detail-oriented, and problem-solving mindset.
Qualifications
Education:
LLB preferred
Experience
1–3 years of experience in legal coordination, compliance management,
licensing, administration, or related fields.
