Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled and responsible Varmam & Thokkanam Therapist to provide traditional Siddha therapeutic services under the guidance and supervision of qualified Siddha doctors. The therapist will be responsible for performing Varmam and Thokkanam therapies safely, maintaining patient comfort, and following hospital treatment protocols.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform Varmam therapy and Thokkanam therapy as prescribed by the Siddha physician.
- Assess the patient's treatment requirements based on the doctor's instructions.
- Follow proper therapeutic techniques, procedures, and safety protocols.
- Prepare the therapy room, treatment materials, oils, and equipment before each session.
- Maintain proper patient positioning, privacy, comfort, and hygiene during treatment.
- Observe the patient's response during therapy and immediately report any discomfort or unusual symptoms to the concerned doctor.
- Maintain accurate therapy/treatment records for every patient.
- Follow infection-control, hygiene, and hospital safety procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness and proper organization of the therapy area.
- Handle therapy oils, instruments, and other materials carefully and hygienically.
- Coordinate with doctors, nurses, and other therapists regarding patient care.
- Educate patients regarding basic post-treatment care as instructed by the doctor.
- Maintain professional, respectful, and compassionate communication with patients.
- Follow hospital rules, duty timings, dress code, and administrative procedures.
- Attend training programs and update knowledge of Varmam and Thokkanam practices.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Certificate/Diploma in Varmam, Thokkanam, Siddha Therapy, or related field preferred.
- Practical knowledge of traditional Varmam and Thokkanam techniques.
- Previous experience in a Siddha hospital, wellness centre, or therapy centre is an advantage.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patient-friendly and compassionate attitude.
- Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Good personal hygiene and professional conduct.
- Willingness to work according to hospital schedules.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
