Location: Kolkata (On-site)
Teesta Investment is a proprietary high-frequency trading (HFT) and market-making firm focused on global digital asset markets. We build automated trading systems that operate 24×7 across global crypto markets, combining technology, quantitative research, and disciplined execution to compete in one of the world's fastest-moving financial environments.
Operating a global trading business requires more than sophisticated technology. Behind every trade is a robust financial and compliance framework that ensures accuracy, transparency, regulatory compliance, and operational discipline. As the business scales across exchanges, jurisdictions, and financial systems, building strong finance processes becomes critical to supporting long-term growth.
This is a full-time, on-site role based in our Kolkata office.
You'll join the Finance team and work closely with leadership, operations, legal advisors, auditors, tax consultants, and external partners to ensure the firm's financial operations run efficiently and remain fully compliant.
We are looking for someone who enjoys solving complex financial problems, building scalable processes, and bringing structure to a fast-growing business.
Finance in a high-frequency trading business is fundamentally different from traditional accounting.
The business generates high transaction volumes across multiple exchanges, operates continuously, and requires accurate financial reporting, disciplined controls, and timely regulatory compliance. Success depends on building processes that are reliable, scalable, and capable of supporting a rapidly growing organisation.
As Manager, Accounts, Tax & Compliance, you'll play a key role in strengthening our finance function by overseeing accounting operations, tax compliance, audits, financial reporting, and process improvements. You'll work closely with both internal stakeholders and external advisors to ensure our financial operations remain accurate, compliant, and efficient.
Depending on your experience, your work may include:
-
Managing the firm's accounting operations, including month-end and year-end book closures.
-
Preparing accurate financial statements, management reports, and MIS for leadership.
-
Leading direct and indirect tax compliance, including Income Tax, GST, TDS, and statutory filings.
-
Coordinating with auditors, tax consultants, regulatory authorities, banks, exchanges, and other external stakeholders.
-
Preparing financial data, reconciliations, and documentation for statutory audits and tax assessments.
-
Monitoring changes in accounting standards and tax regulations to ensure ongoing compliance.
-
Developing and improving standard operating procedures (SOPs), financial controls, and internal processes.
-
Performing financial analysis using advanced Excel to support business decisions and improve operational efficiency.
-
Managing payments, reconciliations, and financial interactions with vendors, exchanges, and other business partners.
-
Identifying opportunities to automate workflows, improve reporting accuracy, and strengthen financial governance.
This role offers the opportunity to build finance processes that scale alongside a rapidly growing trading business.
We're looking for finance professionals who combine strong technical expertise with a process-driven mindset and the ability to thrive in a dynamic business environment.
You should have:
-
Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA).
-
6 to 10 years of post-qualification experience in accounting, taxation, audit, or finance.
-
Strong knowledge of Indian accounting standards, taxation, statutory compliance, and financial reporting.
-
Proven experience managing statutory audits, tax assessments, and regulatory filings.
-
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including financial analysis, reporting, and data modelling.
-
Experience working with external auditors, consultants, tax advisors, banks, and regulatory authorities.
-
Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail.
-
Experience developing and improving financial processes, controls, and standard operating procedures.
-
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
-
The ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.
Experience in financial services, capital markets, fintech, cryptocurrency, or proprietary trading is advantageous but not essential.
Joining Teesta means becoming part of a business where finance plays a strategic role in enabling growth.
You'll work closely with leadership to build scalable financial processes, strengthen governance, and support a rapidly evolving global trading business. As part of a lean team, you'll have meaningful ownership, broad exposure across finance and compliance, and the opportunity to improve how the organisation operates every day.
If you're motivated by solving complex financial challenges, building efficient processes, and contributing to a high-performance organisation, we'd love to hear from you.

Comprehensive health insurance for you and your dependants.
-
Relocation assistance.
-
Fitness and wellness reimbursement.
-
Sponsorship for higher education and professional development.
-
Fully stocked office with snacks and beverages.
-
A collaborative, high-ownership culture with opportunities to shape and improve business processes.
