About PowerPickle
PowerPickle is one of Bengaluru's fastest-growing pickleball clubs.
The Role
We're hiring our first dedicated Community Manager — the person who makes PowerPickle feel like a club. You'll own the member experience end-to-end: bringing new players in, keeping current members coming back, running the calendar of events and leagues, and making sure that whether someone walks in for their first session or their two-hundredth, they leave wanting more.
This is a generalist role with real ownership. You'll work closely with the founders and have a meaningful say in how the club grows.
Responsibilities
Member experience & on-court operations
- Be the face of PowerPickle on the floor — greet members, introduce new players, fix problems before they become complaints
- Run open-play sessions: balance courts by skill level, rotate players, keep the energy good
- Manage bookings, court schedules, and walk-ins; coordinate with coaches and ground staff
- Handle member onboarding — intro sessions, ratings, paddle/gear orientation
- Own member feedback: collect it, act on it, close the loop
Events, leagues & tournaments
- Plan and run the monthly calendar — leagues, ladders, tournaments, clinics, mixers, themed nights
- Manage league logistics: brackets, scoring, results, prize distribution
- Bring in guest coaches, run beginner clinics, organise inter-club friendlies
- Build sponsorships and partnerships for tournaments (paddle brands, F&B, lifestyle)
Membership growth
- Convert trial players and walk-ins into members; design and run referral programs
- Partner with corporates, residential communities, schools, and gyms in the area
- Track funnel metrics — leads, trials, conversions, churn — and report weekly
Social & content
- Own Instagram, WhatsApp groups, and the member newsletter
- Shoot and post regularly: match highlights, member spotlights, event recaps, behind-the-scenes
- Build PowerPickle's voice — fun, inclusive, a bit competitive, very Bengaluru
You'll Probably Be a Fit If
- You play pickleball (or you're a quick study and a serious racket-sport player — tennis, badminton, squash). You don't need to be a 4.0, but you need to genuinely love the game.
- You have 0–2 years of experience in community, events, sports management, hospitality, or club operations. People who've run a CrossFit box, a running club, a co-working space, an F&B venue, or a sports academy will translate well.
- You're an extrovert who actually likes people. The job is 60% face-to-face.
- You're organised — calendars, spreadsheets, league brackets, vendor follow-ups don't faze you.
- You can shoot a decent reel, write a punchy WhatsApp message, and aren't precious about doing both.
- You're comfortable working weekends and evenings — that's when the club lives. Weekdays are quieter; expect a shifted work week with a weekday off.
Bonus Points
- You've organised pickleball / tennis / badminton leagues or tournaments before
- You have an existing network in Bengaluru's sports / fitness / lifestyle scene
- You're rated (DUPR) or have refereed / scored matches
- Conversational Kannada
What You Get
- Competitive salary based on experience
- Full club membership + free coaching access + paddle/gear stipend
- A first-employee role at a growing business — real scope to shape the club, the events calendar, and your own role
- A workday that involves actual pickleball
