Job Title: Learning & Development Officer

Job Summary
The Learning & Development Officer is responsible for designing, coordinating, and delivering training programs that enhance employees' knowledge, skills, service standards, and compliance with company policies. The role focuses on improving employee performance, guest satisfaction, operational efficiency, and ensuring all staff receive mandatory and departmental training.
Key ResponsibilitiesTraining & Development
- Conduct induction and orientation programs for all new employees.
- Identify training needs through performance reviews, departmental feedback, and operational requirements.
- Develop and deliver engaging classroom and on-the-job training sessions.
- Prepare monthly and annual training calendars.
- Conduct refresher training for all departments.
- Design training materials, presentations, handouts, and assessments.
Operational Training
- Train employees on Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Conduct customer service and guest experience training.
- Deliver communication, grooming, personality development and soft skills training.
- Coordinate departmental skill development programs.
- Ensure cross-functional training where required.
Compliance & Safety
- Conduct mandatory training on:
- POSH (Prevention of Sexual Harassment)
- Fire & Safety
- Emergency Response Procedures
- Workplace Ethics
- Security Awareness
- Responsible Gaming Awareness
- Occupational Health & Safety
- Company Policies & Code of Conduct
- Grooming Training
Performance Monitoring
- Evaluate training effectiveness through assessments and feedback.
- Monitor employee performance after training.
- Recommend improvement plans for employees requiring additional coaching.
- Maintain employee training records and certifications.
Coordination
- Work closely with HODs to identify departmental training needs.
- Coordinate external trainers and certification programs when required.
- Organize workshops, seminars, and employee engagement learning activities.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain training attendance records.
- Prepare monthly training reports and KPI dashboards.
- Track training completion percentages.
- Maintain training budgets and training calendars.
- Ensure all compliance training is completed within deadlines.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Certification in Learning & Development or Training (preferred).
Experience
- 2–5 years of experience in Learning & Development Training.
- Experience in the hospitality, casino, hotel.
- Experience conducting both technical and behavioral training.
