Job Summary:
The Business Development Manager (BDM) will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, building and nurturing client relationships, and driving growth for the company. This role requires a strategic thinker with a focus on market expansion, developing partnerships, and increasing revenue streams. The BDM will play a crucial role in expanding the company's presence in the facility management and housekeeping services sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Market Research & Opportunity Identification:
- Conduct market research to identify potential business opportunities and new client segments.
- Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and market needs to identify opportunities for expansion and service diversification.
- Identify and evaluate potential partnerships, collaborations, and alliances to drive business growth.
- Lead Generation & Client Acquisition:
- Generate leads through various channels such as networking, cold calling, email campaigns, social media, and industry events.
- Qualify leads and convert them into long-term clients by effectively communicating the company’s value propositions and services.
- Manage the entire sales process, from initial outreach to contract negotiation and closing.
- Client Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, stakeholders, and decision-makers.
- Serve as the main point of contact for all business development activities, addressing client concerns and ensuring satisfaction.
- Conduct regular follow-ups and account reviews to ensure ongoing customer satisfaction and identify opportunities for upselling or cross-selling additional services.
- Strategic Planning & Sales Strategy:
- Develop and implement business development strategies to achieve company revenue goals and market expansion objectives.
- Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to align efforts and enhance brand visibility and recognition.
- Set and track KPIs, ensuring sales targets are met and key milestones are achieved.
- Proposal and Contract Management:
- Prepare and present customized proposals, presentations, and pitches tailored to client needs and objectives.
- Lead negotiations and finalizing contracts with clients, ensuring terms and conditions are favorable for both parties.
- Work with the operations team to ensure the smooth transition from sales to service delivery.
- Market and Client Insights:
- Gather feedback from clients to identify service improvements and potential new offerings.
- Stay up-to-date with industry best practices, competitor offerings, and market demands to continuously refine business development strategies.
- Reporting and Analytics:
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and business development progress in CRM software.
- Provide regular reports to senior management on business development performance, opportunities, and challenges.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Facility Management, or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in business development, sales, or a related role, preferably in the facility management, housekeeping, or service industry.
- Proven track record of acquiring new clients and growing business revenue.
- Strong negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
- Ability to think strategically and build long-term business relationships.
- Familiarity with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and MS Office Suite.
- Excellent networking skills and the ability to represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and client meetings.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Working Conditions:
