Job PurposeThe Site Engineer / Supervisor is fully responsible for day-to-day site execution, sub-contractor management, quality control, and timeline adherence for high-end design-and-build projects. This role bridges the gap between design concepts and physical execution, ensuring zero material wastage and strict compliance with approved working drawings. Core Responsibilities1. Site Execution & Timeline, Quality, Cost Management . Flexible to be relocated anywhere in the up NORTH region
- Daily Work Scheduling: Translate the master project timeline into daily, actionable task sheets for sub-contractors and site labor.
- Drawing Interpretation: Read, interpret, and execute structural, MEP, and detailed interior/joinery working drawings accurately.
- Progress Reporting: Submit mandatory Daily Progress Reports (DPRs) with site photographs to the Project Manager.
- Problem Solving: Resolve immediate on-site technical glitches or structural mismatches without delaying the daily schedule.
2. Material & Inventory Control (Internal & External Vendor Management)
- Indenting & Forecasting: Raise material indents well in advance to prevent any site downtime.
- Receipt & Inspection: Quality-check all incoming materials at the site
- Vendor Gatekeeping: Document and report any defects, structural damage, or dimensional deviations in received items immediately.
- Wastage Minimisation: Monitor daily material consumption on-site to maintain wastage strictly below the approved threshold
3. Sub-contractor & Labor Management
- Work Allocation: Supervise specialized teams (civil, electrical, plumbing, painting, false ceiling, and carpentry assembly).
- Measurement Verification: Take physical site measurements to verify, sign off, and process sub-contractor running bills.
- Conflict Resolution: Manage on-site labor disputes and ensure adequate manpower strength throughout the project life cycle.
4. Quality Assurance (QA) & Safety Compliance
- Snagging Management: Perform routine quality audits; identify and rectify execution errors before final client walkthroughs.
- Safety Enforcement: Enforce basic site safety protocols, including mandatory use of PPE (helmets, vests, safety shoes).
- Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, organized, and debris-free site environment to protect finished surfaces from scratches or damage.
Candidate Profile & Qualifications1. Educational Background
- Minimum Requirement: Diploma in Civil Engineering / Interior Design / Architecture or B.Tech (Civil).
- Alternative: Candidates with 8+ years of pure, high-end interior site supervision experience without a formal degree may be considered.
2. Work Experience
- Duration: 3 to 4 years of proven on-site experience in turnkey premium residential or commercial design-and-build projects.
- Industry Focus: Must have deep experience handling high-end fit-outs, modular woodwork assembly, and premium finishes.
3. Technical & Soft Skills
- Technical: Proficiency in reading complex CAD drawings and basic knowledge of MS Excel for tracking site measurements and material logs.
- Materials Knowledge: Strong understanding of hardware, joinery details, wood types, laminates, veneer polishing, and paint finishes. [1]
- Communication: Ability to communicate firmly and clearly with local laborers and sub-contractors, while maintaining a professional demeanor during client interactions. [1, 2]
- Mobility: Must possess a valid driving license and personal two-wheeler for commuting across active project locations. [1, 2]
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)Your performance in this role will be directly measured by:
- Timeline Variance: Completing assigned site phases within ± 5% of the baseline project schedule.
- Snag Rate: Achieving a "Zero-Snag" delivery status on the first formal client walkthrough.
- Material Variance: Keeping actual material consumption aligned with the approved bill of quantities (BOQ) with zero unaccounted losses.
- Documentation Compliance: Maintaining 100% on-time submission of Daily Progress Reports (DPRs) and verified vendor measurement sheets.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
