This is a full-time on-site role for Plant Engineer at ProV Foods in Surat Tadkeshwar Plant.
Job Overview
Responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving electronic systems used in automated packaging machinery. These systems include sensors, PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), control panels, robotics, and production line equipment.
Key Responsibilities
Maintenance & Troubleshooting:
- Diagnose and repair faults in electronic systems of machines
- Ensure smooth operation of conveyors, fillers, sealers, labeling machines, wrapping equipment,RO plant,Nitrogen plant, Compressor
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance
Installation & Commissioning:
- Install new electronic equipment and machinery
- Configure PLCs, HMIs, and drives
- Test and commission packaging lines
Automation & Control Systems:
- Maintain Program and update PLC systems in coordination with suppliers (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, etc.)
- Improve production efficiency using automation
Equipment Upgradation:
- Upgrade machinery for performance and energy efficiency
- Retrofit older machines with modern controls
Safety & Compliance:
- Ensure systems meet safety standards
- Maintain proper wiring and grounding
- Follow industrial regulations
Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain maintenance records
- Prepare reports and manuals
- Update schematics
Coordination & Support:
- Work with mechanical and production teams
- Train machine operators
- Support during breakdowns
Key Skills Required
- PLC programming and automation knowledge
- Strong electronics fundamentals
- Experience with packaging machinery
- Knowledge of sensors, motors, and drives
- Problem-solving skills
- Understanding of electrical safety
Education & Qualifications
- Degree/Diploma in Electronics, Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering
- PLC/Automation certifications preferred
