ob Purpose
To manage the day-to-day spare parts operations, including parts procurement, inventory control, billing, issuing parts to the workshop, and ensuring timely availability of genuine Skoda spare parts to support efficient vehicle servicing and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily spare parts counter and inventory operations.
- Identify and arrange the required genuine Skoda spare parts for workshop and customer requirements.
- Prepare parts quotations and invoices as per company procedures.
- Issue spare parts to the workshop against approved job cards and parts requests.
- Maintain accurate records of parts received, issued, returned, and transferred.
- Monitor stock levels and ensure availability of fast-moving and critical spare parts.
- Coordinate with the Spare Parts Manager for parts ordering and replenishment.
- Receive incoming spare parts and verify part numbers, quantities, and condition against invoices.
- Properly store and arrange spare parts for easy identification and retrieval.
- Follow proper inventory control and ensure minimum stock and maximum stock levels are maintained.
- Conduct regular physical stock verification and assist in resolving stock discrepancies.
- Coordinate with the workshop, service advisors, warranty team, and accounts department regarding parts requirements.
- Process parts returns, warranty parts, damaged parts, and obsolete stock as per company policy.
- Monitor pending and back-ordered parts and follow up until delivery.
- Maintain proper documentation for all spare parts transactions.
- Ensure the parts department is clean, organized, and compliant with company standards.
- Provide excellent service to internal and external customers.
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and Skoda standards related to spare parts operations.
- Support the team in achieving parts sales, gross profit, inventory turnover, and customer satisfaction targets.
Required Skills
- Good knowledge of automobile spare parts and vehicle components.
- Basic understanding of automobile workshop operations.
- Good inventory management and stock-control skills.
- Basic computer knowledge and ability to work with MS Excel and dealership/LMS/DMS software.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to identify parts using part numbers and catalogues.
- Good attention to detail and documentation skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Customer-oriented approach.
- Teamwork and problem-solving skills.
Qualification
- Diploma / ITI / Degree in Automobile, Mechanical, or a related field.
- Previous experience in an automobile dealership spare parts department will be an advantage.
Experience
1–3 years of experience in automobile spare parts operations preferred.
Freshers with relevant automobile knowledge may also be considered.
