About the Role
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Drone Service Technician Trainer to deliver classroom and hands-on practical training to students under government and industry-sponsored skill development programs. The trainer will be responsible for developing technical competencies in drone operations, maintenance, troubleshooting, servicing, and safety practices while ensuring trainees are industry-ready.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct classroom and practical training sessions on Drone Service Technician curriculum.
- Train candidates on drone components, assembly, calibration, maintenance, diagnostics, and repair procedures.
- Deliver hands-on demonstrations covering drone servicing, battery management, flight systems, sensors, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Ensure compliance with DGCA guidelines and drone safety regulations.
- Prepare lesson plans, training content, practical exercises, and assessments.
- Evaluate trainee performance through practical and theoretical assessments.
- Maintain training records, attendance, reports, and progress tracking.
- Support candidates with employability skills, interview preparation, and industry readiness.
- Ensure proper maintenance and utilization of drone training equipment and laboratory resources.
- Coordinate with training center management and project teams to ensure successful training delivery.
Eligibility CriteriaEducational Qualification
- Diploma or Degree in:
- Electronics Engineering
- Aeronautical Engineering
- Aerospace Engineering
- OR Certified in relevant CITS Trade.
Required Technical Knowledge
- Strong understanding of Aerospace Engineering concepts.
- Knowledge of drone technology, UAV systems, electronics, sensors, GPS, communication systems, and battery management.
Industry Experience
- Minimum 2 Years of relevant industry experience as:
- Drone Service Technician
- UAV Maintenance Technician
- Drone Operations & Maintenance Engineer
- Drone Repair Technician
Training Experience
- Minimum 1 Year of training, teaching, or instructional experience in Electronics, Drone Technology, Aerospace, or related domains.
Preferred CertificationsDomain Certification
- Certified in Drone Service Technician (ELE/Q7003, Version 3.0).
- Minimum accepted certification score: 80%.
Trainer Certification (Preferred)
- Certified Trainer under:
- Trainer (VET and Skills)
- Qualification Pack: MEP/Q2601, Version 2.0
- Minimum accepted certification score: 80%.
Required Skills
- Drone assembly, maintenance, servicing, and repair.
- UAV electronics and communication systems.
- Troubleshooting and fault diagnosis.
- Drone battery systems and power management.
- DGCA drone regulations and safety compliance.
- Technical training and classroom management skills.
- MS Office and digital reporting tools.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.

- Willingness to travel across training locations.
- Experience working with training partners, NSDC projects, or vocational training programs will be an advantage.
- Industry exposure to commercial drone applications such as surveying, inspection, agriculture, mapping, or logistics is preferred.
Salary Range
₹12,000 – ₹15,000 per month (Negotiable based on experience, certifications, and location)
