Job Summary
The Registrar shall be responsible for managing and overseeing all statutory, academic, governance, accreditation, ranking, compliance, and convocation-related activities of the Institute. The role ensures adherence to the University Act, Statutes, Ordinances, Regulations, and guidelines issued by regulatory bodies including UGC, DEB, PCI, BCI, and other statutory authorities. The incumbent will serve as the custodian of official university records and coordinate governance processes through various statutory bodies and committees.
Key Responsibilities
Statutory & Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure compliance with University Act, Statutes, Ordinances, Regulations, and Policies.
- Monitor and ensure adherence to guidelines issued by UGC, DEB, PCI, BCI, AICTE, and other regulatory bodies, as applicable.
- Coordinate inspections, audits, and compliance submissions to statutory authorities.
- Maintain statutory records, approvals, and regulatory correspondence.
University Governance
- Plan, organize, and coordinate meetings of statutory bodies including:
- Board of Governors (BoG)
- Board of Management (BoM)
- Academic Council (AC)
- Finance Committee (FC)
- Various Sub-Committees and Advisory Committees
- Prepare agendas, notices, minutes, resolutions, and follow-up action reports.
- Ensure implementation of decisions and resolutions approved by statutory bodies.
Accreditation & Rankings
- Lead accreditation-related initiatives including NAAC, NBA, NIRF, QS, and other ranking frameworks.
- Coordinate data collection, validation, report preparation, and submission for accreditation and ranking exercises.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders for continuous quality improvement and compliance requirements.
- Maintain institutional databases required for accreditation and ranking agencies.
Convocation & Academic Ceremonies
- Plan and execute annual Convocation and other academic ceremonies.
- Coordinate degree awards, medal distribution, guest management, and ceremonial protocols.
- Ensure accuracy and timely issuance of degrees, diplomas, transcripts, and academic certificates.
Academic Administration
- Supervise student records, enrollment, registration, examination records, and academic documentation.
- Ensure integrity, confidentiality, and accessibility of institutional records.
- Oversee issuance of transcripts, migration certificates, degree verifications, and related services.
Policy & Documentation
- Draft and review university policies, regulations, ordinances, and academic procedures.
- Maintain institutional repositories of statutory documents and governance records.
- Support the leadership team in policy implementation and institutional governance matters.
Qualifications
- Master's Degree from a recognized University .
- Minimum 8–15 years of experience in university administration, registrar functions, accreditation, compliance, or governance.
- Strong understanding of higher education regulations and statutory requirements.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of UGC, DEB, PCI, BCI, NAAC, NIRF, and university regulatory frameworks.
- Knowledge of Design Education Curriculum , B.des, M.des or Design Courses
- Expertise in university governance and statutory body administration.
- Strong documentation, drafting, and record-management skills.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and stakeholder-management abilities.
- Proficiency in ERP systems, academic management systems, and Microsoft Office applications.
Pay: From ₹65,000.00 per month
