AutoCAD Designer – Estimation
Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented AutoCAD Designer – Estimation to prepare technical drawings, quantity take-offs, cost estimates, and supporting documentation for projects. The candidate should have good knowledge of AutoCAD, drawing interpretation, estimation, and material calculations.
The role involves coordinating with the engineering, project, procurement, and site teams to ensure accurate drawings and estimates are prepared as per project requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed 2D AutoCAD drawings based on engineering specifications, designs, and project requirements.
- Read and interpret architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, and other technical drawings as applicable.
- Prepare BOQ (Bill of Quantities) and accurate quantity take-offs from drawings.
- Prepare project cost estimates, material estimates, and pricing calculations.
- Calculate quantities of materials, components, labour, and other project requirements.
- Review drawings and specifications to identify discrepancies, missing information, or changes.
- Prepare shop drawings, fabrication drawings, layout drawings, and detailed drawings as required.
- Coordinate with engineers, project managers, vendors, and site personnel for drawing and estimation requirements.
- Obtain and compare vendor/subcontractor quotations and assist in preparing comparative statements.
- Maintain proper records of drawings, revisions, BOQs, estimates, and project documentation.
- Update drawings and estimates based on design changes and client requirements.
- Ensure drawings and estimates are accurate and completed within project timelines.
- Assist in tendering and quotation preparation when required.
- Follow company standards, drawing standards, and project specifications.
Required Skills
- Good working knowledge of AutoCAD 2D.
- Strong understanding of technical drawings and drafting principles.
- Experience in quantity take-off and estimation.
- Knowledge of BOQ preparation and material calculations.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel and MS Office.
- Ability to understand project specifications and drawings.
- Good mathematical and analytical skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently as well as coordinate with a team.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
Educational Qualification
- Diploma / ITI / B.E. / B.Tech in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Architecture, or a related field, depending on the industry.
- Certification or formal training in AutoCAD will be an added advantage.
Experience
- 1–5 years of experience in AutoCAD drafting and estimation preferred.
- Freshers with good AutoCAD and estimation knowledge may also be considered for junior positions.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
