Job Summary
Sri Lakshmi Automobiles World is hiring an experienced Bus Transport Manager to oversee the daily operations of our bus transportation division. The candidate will be responsible for fleet management, driver supervision, route planning, vehicle utilization, maintenance coordination, operational efficiency, and ensuring safe and timely transport operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day bus transport operations.
- Supervise drivers, transport supervisors, and operational staff.
- Plan and monitor vehicle deployment and route schedules.
- Ensure maximum fleet utilization and on-time operations.
- Coordinate preventive maintenance and vehicle breakdown support.
- Monitor fuel consumption, mileage, and operational costs.
- Ensure compliance with RTO regulations, permits, insurance, and statutory requirements.
- Monitor driver attendance, trip reports, logbooks, and performance.
- Handle customer complaints and operational issues promptly.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly MIS reports.
- Coordinate with Workshop, Accounts, HR, and Operations departments.
- Ensure road safety, discipline, and compliance with company policies.
- Drive continuous improvement in transport efficiency and cost control.
Eligibility
- Diploma / Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Automobile, Logistics, or Transport Management.
- Fresher / Minimum 1-3 years of experience in Bus Transport Operations.
- Experience in managing buses operations is preferred.
- Strong leadership, planning, and people management skills.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel, MIS reporting, GPS tracking systems, and transport documentation.
- Valid Driving Licence preferred.
