Position: Billing Engineer MEP
Job Summary:
The Billing Engineer (MEP) is responsible for preparing, managing, and monitoring all billing and invoicing activities related to Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) projects. The role ensures accurate measurement, timely billing, and compliance with contract terms, supporting smooth financial control and coordination between project, finance, and client teams.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Billing & Measurement
- Prepare and verify MEP contractor RA bills, final bills, and variation bills for MEP works as per contract terms.
- Measure executed work at site and verify quantities against BOQs, drawings, and specifications.
- Measure and certify executed quantities as per drawings and site progress.
- Validate material reconciliation statements.
- Monitor actual work progress against billed quantities.
- Ensure accurate billing for materials, labour, equipment, and subcontractor works.
- Track extra items, deviations, and change orders and incorporate them into billing.
- Maintain proper billing records and supporting documentation.
2. Project Coordination
- Coordinate with site engineers, project managers, and planning teams to collect work progress data.
- Monitor project milestones to ensure timely submission of bills.
- Ensure timely submission of bills and certifications.
- Assist in reconciliation of billed quantities with client and internal teams.
- Support the finance/accounts department with billing-related data and payment processing.
3. Client & Consultant Coordination
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, and PMC for bill submission, certification, and approval.
- Address billing queries, discrepancies, and observations raised by clients or consultants.
- Follow up on bill certification and payment status.
4. Cost Control & Reporting
- Assist in tracking project costs versus budget from a billing perspective.
- Prepare billing summaries, work done statements, and MIS reports as required.
- Support audits by providing billing and measurement documentation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering (preferred for MEP projects).
- Required Skills:· Strong knowledge of BOQs, drawings, specifications, and contract terms.
- Strong understanding of MEP systems (HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Fighting).
- Proficiency in MS Excel and billing software.
- Good understanding of MEP systems and site execution practices.
- Strong coordination, communication, and documentation skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in measurements and calculations.
- Ability to work collaboratively with site, billing, and finance teams.
Experience:
- 4–8 years of experience in MEP billing within real estate or construction projects.
- Experience in residential, commercial, hotel, or IT park projects
Pay: ₹350,000.00 - ₹600,000.00 per year
