We are seeking an experienced and highly organized House Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of a private 1-acre farmhouse in Bhubaneswar. The property is home to a family of nine members and currently employs two household staff. The ideal candidate will ensure smooth household functioning, establish operational systems, maintain high service standards, and proactively manage the property.
- Manage the overall day-to-day operations of the farmhouse.
- Supervise and coordinate the work of two household staff.
- Ensure cleanliness, upkeep, and efficient functioning of the property.
- Monitor maintenance requirements and coordinate with external vendors when required.
- Lead, train, and supervise household staff.
- Develop work schedules and allocate responsibilities.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and maintain discipline and service standards.
- Create and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all household functions.
- Plan and maintain inventory for household essentials.
- Manage grocery planning, purchasing, and stock replenishment.
- Maintain records of consumables and ensure timely procurement.
- Coordinate with local vendors to ensure quality and cost-effective purchasing.
- Maintain records related to household expenses and inventory.
- Coordinate service appointments and routine maintenance.
- Ensure efficient communication between the family, staff, and vendors.
- Identify opportunities to improve household efficiency and organization.
- Previous experience as a House Manager, Estate Manager, Butler, or in luxury residential operations.
- Strong staff management and leadership skills.
- Experience in developing SOPs and implementing operational systems.
- Excellent planning, organizational, and multitasking abilities.
- Proficient in inventory management and procurement.
- Honest, discreet, proactive, and solution-oriented.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Candidates based in or around Bhubaneswar will be preferred.
- Familiarity with local vendors and procurement networks is an advantage.
- Experience managing private residences or farmhouses will be highly preferred.
