Job Summary:
The Machinist will operate conventional milling and turning machines to manufacture precision components according to technical drawings and specifications. The role requires knowledge of machining processes, measuring instruments, and maintaining quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate conventional lathe machines, milling machines, drilling machines, and other workshop equipment.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Set up workpieces, cutting tools, and machine parameters for machining operations.
- Perform turning, facing, drilling, boring, threading, and milling operations.
- Measure finished parts using vernier calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Maintain dimensional accuracy and quality standards.
- Conduct routine machine maintenance and ensure proper lubrication.
- Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean work area.
- Coordinate with supervisors and production teams to meet production targets.
