A Director of ICT (Information and Communication Technology) directs an organization’s technology strategy, infrastructure, and operations to align with business goals. They lead IT teams, manage budgets, ensure data security/compliance, and implement new technologies. This senior role requires strategic planning, vendor management, and technical expertise to support digital transformation and operational efficiency.
· Strategy & Planning: Develop and implement IT strategies, policies, and procedures to support organizational goals.
· Infrastructure & Operations: Oversee maintenance, updates, and troubleshooting of IT systems, networks, and hardware.
· Leadership & Management: Manage IT staff, including hiring, mentoring, and performance evaluation.
· Cybersecurity & Risk Management: Establish security measures to protect data and maintain disaster recovery/business continuity plans.
· Budgeting & Vendor Management: Prepare and manage departmental capital/revenue budgets and negotiate with external vendors.
· Innovation: Research and implement emerging technologies to improve operational efficiency.
