The Purchase Executive (Electrical) will be responsible for the procurement of electrical
materials and equipment required for project execution. The role involves vendor
coordination, quotation evaluation, cost negotiation, timely material procurement, and
ensuring compliance with project specifications and delivery schedules.
Key Responsibilities
1. Procurement & Material Planning
Procure electrical materials such as cables, panels, switchgear, lighting fixtures,
earthing materials, raceways, and accessories.
Review material requisitions and verify specifications with engineering and site
teams.
Ensure timely procurement aligned with project schedules.
2. Vendor Sourcing & Management
Identify and develop reliable vendors and suppliers for electrical materials.
Obtain quotations, compare technical and commercial offers, and prepare comparative
statements.
Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery timelines.
Maintain strong relationships with approved vendors.
3. Purchase Order & Documentation
Prepare and issue purchase orders as per approved terms.
Track order status and ensure timely delivery to project sites.
Maintain procurement records, vendor databases, and documentation.
Ensure compliance with company procurement policies.
4. Coordination & Logistics
Coordinate with site teams for delivery schedules and material requirements.
Resolve supply issues, shortages, and delays proactively.
Coordinate with stores for material receipt and verification.
5. Cost Control & Compliance
Ensure procurement within approved budgets.
Support cost optimisation initiatives through strategic sourcing.
Ensure materials comply with approved specifications and quality standards.
Qualifications & Skills
Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
3–6 years of experience in procurement of electrical materials in MEP/construction
projects.
Strong knowledge of electrical materials and equipment.
Good negotiation and vendor management skills.
Proficiency in MS Excel and procurement/ERP systems.
Strong coordination and communication skills.
Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple orders.
Preferred Experience
Experience in industrial, infrastructure, or large-scale MEP projects.
Familiarity with electrical brands, technical specifications, and market pricing.
Experience working with turnkey MEP contractors.
Exposure to ERP-based procurement systems.
Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
