Position Overview
Deep Sync is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to join as a founding technical leader of our new Agentic Platform team in India. This is a high-impact, hands-on role where you will architect, design, and build our next-generation Agentic AI platform from the ground up.
As a visionary technologist, you will define the technical strategy, establish core architectural patterns, and write production-grade code. While you will serve as the technical anchor for the region, your focus will be on engineering excellence and driving AI innovation rather than people management or recruitment. We are looking for an expert engineer with a proven track record of delivering enterprise-grade AI solutions in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities

Founding Technical Leadership: Serve as the primary technical visionary for the Agentic Platform in India, setting the architectural standard and driving the technical direction for our regional AI initiatives.

Platform Architecture: Architect and develop the core Agentic AI platform, designing autonomous agents that can reason, plan, and execute complex workflows to drive operational excellence.

Hands-on Engineering: Actively code, prototype, and implement key components of the system (Python/LLM frameworks), setting the benchmark for clean code, performance, and scalability.

Strategy & Technical Roadmap: Collaborate with global product and engineering leadership to define the AI technical roadmap, ensuring alignment with Deep Sync’s broader data and identity strategy.

Technical Mentorship: Provide deep technical guidance, code reviews, and mentorship to engineers on the team, fostering a culture of innovation, high ownership, and engineering excellence.

LLM & GenAI Integration: Drive the integration of Large Language Models (LLMs) and Generative AI technologies into our deterministic identity graph and marketing solutions.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Experience: 12+ years of total software engineering experience, with a proven track record of technical leadership as a Principal, Staff, or Lead Engineer.

AI/Agentic Expertise: Deep understanding of the Agentic AI landscape (e.g., LangChain, AutoGPT, CrewAI, Semantic Kernel) and hands-on experience building autonomous agent workflows.

Technical Proficiency: Expert-level programming skills in Python; proficiency in Java or C++ is a plus. Strong experience with vector databases (Pinecone, Milvus) and RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) architectures.

Cloud & Scale: Deep experience designing scalable, distributed systems on cloud platforms (AWS preferred) using containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).

Founding Mindset: Previous experience in a startup environment or as a founding engineer of a new product vertical is highly desirable.
