Key Responsibilities:
- Support for School Health Services:
- Assist the physician during routine health check-ups and medical evaluations for students and staff.
- Record and maintain updated health records for all students, including immunization and medical history.
- Ensure compliance with school health policies and government regulations.
- Emergency Medical Assistance:
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies within the school premises.
- Provide first aid or basic medical care to students and staff as needed, under the physician's guidance.
- Monitor the recovery of students after minor injuries or illnesses and report to parents/guardians.
- Manage and organize the physician's schedule, including health screenings and wellness programs.
- Prepare and update reports on school health-related activities.
- Maintain an inventory of medical supplies and ensure they are restocked regularly.
- Assist in planning and conducting health awareness programs and workshops for students, parents, and staff.
- Educate students on hygiene, nutrition, and other aspects of healthy living under the physician’s guidance.
- Act as a liaison between parents, teachers, and the physician for health-related concerns.
- Communicate health issues, care plans, and emergency actions to relevant stakeholders.
- Coordinate with local healthcare providers for specialist referrals or follow-ups when required.
- Help ensure that the school environment meets health and safety standards.
- Monitor for potential health hazards and report them to the appropriate authorities.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Education: [Diploma/Certificate in Medical Assisting, Nursing, or related field; CPR/First Aid certification preferred.]
- Experience: [Specify experience, e.g., 1-2 years in a healthcare or school environment preferred.]
