Role Summary
The candidate should possess strong expertise in AWS Cloud, Kubernetes, DevOps, Infrastructure as Code, Automation, Monitoring, Security, Documentation, and Technical Leadership. Experience in solution documentation, knowledge management, candidate assessment, mentoring, and GenAI-driven operational improvements will be considered a significant advantage. The role involves supporting multiple business-critical applications, driving cloud modernization initiatives, implementing cost optimization strategies, ensuring platform reliability, and leading technical engagements with clients and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
AWS Cloud Architecture & Operations · Design and manage scalable, secure, and highly available AWS environments. · Support multi-account AWS landing zone architecture. · Manage and optimize AWS services including: o EC2 o EKS o ECS o Lambda o RDS/Aurora o S3 o IAM o CloudWatch o SNS o EventBridge o Athena o Secrets Manager o Transfer Family · Ensure compliance with enterprise security and governance standards. Kubernetes & Container Platform · Manage Amazon EKS clusters across production and non-production environments. · Implement cluster upgrades, patching, node group management, and security hardening. · Troubleshoot Kubernetes networking, storage, and workload issues. · Deploy applications using Helm and GitOps methodologies. DevOps & CI/CD · Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and enterprise deployment tools. · Automate application deployment and infrastructure provisioning. · Implement release governance and deployment best practices. · Manage source control, branching strategies, and deployment approvals. Infrastructure as Code · Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using: o Terraform o CloudFormation o YAML · Create reusable enterprise modules and deployment frameworks. · Implement automated provisioning and drift detection. Cloud Automation · Develop Python-based automation solutions leveraging: o AWS Lambda o EventBridge o SNS o DynamoDB o API Gateway · Build self-healing and operational automation frameworks. · Automate security, monitoring, compliance, and operational processes. Monitoring & Observability · Implement enterprise monitoring solutions using: o CloudWatch o Prometheus o Grafana o Fluent Bit o Container Insights · Design alerting and notification mechanisms. · Create dashboards, reports, and health monitoring systems. Security & Compliance · Implement security best practices for cloud infrastructure. · Conduct vulnerability remediation and security reviews. · Harden AWS IAM permissions and Kubernetes access controls. · Support audit and compliance activities. Cost Optimization · Analyze AWS consumption and identify optimization opportunities. · Implement automated reporting for unused resources. · Optimize compute, storage, and database costs. Database & Data Platform Support · Manage PostgreSQL and Aurora environments. · Support backup, recovery, performance tuning, and patching activities. · Integrate data platforms with cloud-native services.
