Role Overview
We are hiring a Group Head – Finance, Strategy & Systems (CA preferred / CFA / MBA Finance / Strong Finance Professionals may also apply) to build and lead the financial backbone of the entire group.
The person will be responsible for:
- Building finance systems from scratch
- Creating strong MIS and reporting structures
- Managing project finance & banking relationships
- Improving cash flow and profitability
- Supporting promoters in strategic business decisions
- Creating scalable systems for future expansion
This role is for someone who can think beyond accounting and build institutional-grade systems.
Key Responsibilities1. Financial Systems Building (Entire Group)
Design and implement complete financial systems across businesses including:
- Purchase systems
- Sales systems
- Inventory controls
- Costing systems
- Budgeting & forecasting
- Cash flow management systems
- Internal approvals & control mechanisms
Develop SOPs and ensure disciplined implementation across operations.
Move the organization from person-dependent finance to system-driven finance.
2. MIS & Management Reporting
Build structured Daily / Weekly / Monthly MIS dashboards for management.
Track and monitor:
- Profitability by business vertical
- Cost per quintal / unit economics
- Gross & net margins
- Cash flow position
- Receivables & payables
- Inventory movement
- Working capital utilization
- ROI on business initiatives
Provide real-time financial visibility for decision-making.
3. Project Finance & Banking
Strong experience in project finance is highly preferred.
Responsibilities include:
- Structuring funding for new projects
- DPR preparation (Detailed Project Reports)
- Financial modelling & projections
- Working capital enhancement
- Debt structuring & term loans
- Capex financing
- Banking negotiations
- Fund raising from banks & financial institutions
Preference for candidates with experience in financing:
- Manufacturing units
- Industrial projects
- Infrastructure projects
- Renewable energy projects
- Expansion ventures
Ability to convert business ideas into bankable financial opportunities will be highly valued.
4. Cash Flow & Working Capital Management
- Improve liquidity planning
- Optimize receivables & payables
- Reduce unnecessary borrowing costs
- Build disciplined treasury systems
- Strengthen financial control mechanisms
5. Cost Control & Margin Improvement
- Identify financial leakages
- Improve cost tracking systems
- Increase operational efficiency
- Strengthen margin visibility
- Improve profitability through financial discipline
6. Compliance, Audit & Governance
Oversee:
- GST
- TDS
- Income Tax
- ROC compliance
- Statutory filings
Coordinate with:
- Auditors
- Banks
- Legal advisors
- Consultants
Ensure clean, audit-ready, bank-ready books.
7. Inventory & Operational Finance
- Track paddy-to-rice conversion economics
- Monitor stock accuracy
- Reconcile physical stock vs books
- Improve inventory controls
- Minimize operational leakages
8. Strategic Finance & Business Expansion
Partner directly with promoters in:
- Evaluating new business opportunities
- Expansion planning
- Capital allocation decisions
- Financial feasibility studies
- ROI assessment
- Risk analysis
Help build scalable structures for long-term business growth.
9. Team Building & Leadership
- Lead finance & accounts teams
- Build accountability and discipline
- Ensure timely reporting
- Create a high-performance finance culture
