Job Overview:
We are looking for a hardworking and reliable Field Helper to assist our senior technical team and fiber splicers with day-to-day internet cable installation, maintenance, and emergency fiber repairs across Pune and PCMC. No advanced technical degree is required—we will train you on the job!
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting Splicers: Help the senior fiber technician carry, set up, and clean splicing machines, OTDR tools, and ladder equipment on the field.
- Cable Laying: Assist in pulling, laying, and routing overhead or underground fiber optic cables through poles, ducts, and buildings.
- Site Preparation: Clean up work locations, open/close manholes safely, and fix distribution boxes (OJB/LIU) on walls or poles.
- Material Handling: Load and unload technical tools, fiber drums, and routing materials from vehicles.
- Quick Response: Travel with the technical team to resolve sudden cable cuts or network breakdowns to restore internet services quickly.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Education: 10th pass, 12th pass, or ITI pass (any trade).
- Experience: 0 to 1 year of experience. Freshers who are eager to learn field technical work are welcome!
- Physical Fitness: Must be physically fit and comfortable working outdoors, walking, and climbing ladders/heights when required.
- Locality: Candidates living in or near Pimpri-Chinchwad (PCMC) are highly preferred.
