About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Quality Executive (QC) to ensure that all incoming raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods meet the company's quality standards and regulatory requirements. The role involves conducting inspections, testing, documentation, and supporting production by maintaining product quality throughout the manufacturing process.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform quality inspection and testing of raw materials, packaging materials, in-process products, and finished goods.
- Conduct physical, chemical, and sensory analysis as per defined specifications.
- Monitor production processes to ensure adherence to quality parameters.
- Record, analyze, and maintain QC test reports and documentation accurately.
- Identify quality deviations and immediately report non-conformities to the reporting manager.
- Coordinate with the Production team to resolve quality-related issues during manufacturing.
- Ensure samples are collected and retained as per the retention policy.
- Verify compliance with GMP, GHP, hygiene, sanitation, and food safety practices on the shop floor.
- Assist in the calibration and routine maintenance of laboratory equipment.
- Support investigations related to customer complaints by conducting sample analysis and preparing reports.
- Ensure proper identification, segregation, and disposition of non-conforming materials.
- Participate in internal quality improvement initiatives and process optimization activities.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety within the QC laboratory.
Required Skills
- Strong understanding of quality control processes in the food/FMCG industry.
- Knowledge of laboratory testing techniques and quality inspection methods.
- Familiarity with food safety standards such as FSSAI, HACCP, GMP, and GHP.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and documentation practices.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Office.
- Effective communication and coordination skills.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in food processing, spices, grains, pulses, cereals, or organic food manufacturing will be preferred.
- Hands-on experience with laboratory instruments and testing procedures.
- Exposure to ISO 22000, BRCGS, or other food safety management systems is an added advantage.
