Music TeacherJob Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Music Teacher to inspire students through music education. The ideal candidate will have strong musical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to create engaging, age-appropriate lessons.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver music lessons for students of different ages and skill levels.
- Teach music theory, vocal training, instrumental skills, rhythm, and basic music appreciation.
- Prepare students for performances, competitions, examinations, and school events.
- Organize rehearsals, concerts, and other musical activities.
- Assess students’ progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Encourage creativity, confidence, teamwork, and a love of music.
- Maintain a positive, inclusive, and disciplined learning environment.
- Select appropriate songs, exercises, and learning materials.
- Collaborate with other teachers and school staff when required.
- Maintain appropriate records of student attendance and progress.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Music, Music Education, or a related field.
- Relevant teaching experience is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of music theory and practical music skills.
- Proficiency in at least one musical instrument and/or vocal training.
- Good classroom-management and communication skills.
- Patience, creativity, enthusiasm, and a passion for teaching.
- Ability to work effectively with children and young adults.
