Role Definition
The Senior AV Technician is responsible for hands-on installation, wiring, mounting, termination, testingand first-level troubleshooting of AV systems on site.
This role focuses on execution quality, speedand workmanship, not design, estimation, or project management.
Responsibilities
- Execute installation of AV systems on-site, including:
- Displays, projectors, LED screens
- Speakers, microphones, amplifiers
- Racks, AV furniture, mounts, brackets
- Perform cable pulling, dressing, labelingand termination:
- HDMI, CAT6, audio cables, control cables
- Connector termination and rack organization
- Assist engineers during:
- System testing and commissioning
- Signal flow verification
- Client demos and handovers
- Perform basic configuration tasks under guidance:
- Device IP setup
- Input/output testing
- Simple routing checks
- Identify and report:
- Installation issues
- Material mismatches
- Drawing vs site condition gaps
- Maintain installation quality, safetyand cleanliness on site.
Educational Qualifications
- ITI / Diploma in Electronics / Electrical / IT or related technical field
- OR
- Minimum 12th pass with strong hands-on AV installation experience (5+ years)Mandatory Requirements
- 8+ years of hands-on experience as an AV Technician / AV Installer
- Proven experience working on:
- Conference rooms
- Auditoriums
- Classrooms / training rooms
- Strong practical skills in:
- Cable termination and dressing
- Rack building and equipment mounting
- Tool handling and site discipline
- Clear understanding of basic AV signal flow (audio & video)
- Ability to read basic AV drawings, layouts and wiring diagrams
Strong Advantages
- Experience working alongside AV Engineers during commissioning
- Exposure to:
- DSP systems (testing, not programming)
- Video conferencing hardware
- LED wall installations
- Ability to guide junior technicians/helpers on site
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹500,000.00 - ₹900,000.00 per year
